Claude Shortcut Codes: 187 Copy-Ready Prompts

Claude does not have a hidden list of slash codes, and I have not found an official one. What it has is more useful: real features that let you build your own. A code like /dealsummary is just a nickname for a prompt, and it works when Claude knows what the nickname stands for.

I am passionate about using AI tools to get more done with less effort. This page collects shortcuts for the jobs that come up most, from everyday work, writing and files to business, images and video, so you can find the right one fast. Every code has the full prompt behind it and a copy button. Use the search box or the category buttons to filter, or jump to a section.

How to make the codes work

There are three ways to use this page, from simplest to most automatic.

Paste and go. Copy a prompt, fill in the [brackets], and send it. This works on any plan with no setup.

Option A: a Claude Project. Good if you want the codes inside one workspace.

  1. Copy the sections you want into a document and save it as a PDF or text file.
  2. In Claude, create a Project, for example Shortcuts.
  3. Paste the router instruction below into the Project instructions.
  4. Add your file to the Project’s files.
  5. Start a chat inside that Project and type a code.

Project instructions (router)

The file "Shortcut Library" contains my slash codes.
When my message starts with a code (for example /dealsummary), look it up, expand it into its
full prompt, fill any [bracketed] slots from my message or uploads, and run it.
If a required detail is missing, ask one short question first.
I can stack several codes and + modifiers (for example /headshot /bokeh +square).
Combine them into one prompt, in order.
Image and video codes run through the Higgsfield connector. Before generating,
tell me the model and the credit cost and wait for my OK.
If a code is not in the library, say so and suggest the closest match.

Option B: a custom Skill. Good if you want the codes in every chat. Anthropic’s help center says custom Skills are available on the Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, and need code execution and file creation turned on.

  1. Create a folder named shortcut-codes.
  2. Inside it, save the text below as SKILL.md, and add your library as library.md.
  3. Zip the folder.
  4. In Claude, open Settings, then Capabilities, scroll to Skills, choose Upload skill and select the zip.
  5. Claude loads a Skill automatically when it fits the task. You can also name it in your message.

SKILL.md

---
name: shortcut-codes
description: Expands my slash shortcut codes (like /dealsummary, /tldr, /headshot, /pov) and + modifiers into full prompts and runs them. Use whenever a message starts with a / code or contains + modifiers.
---

# Shortcut codes

1. Find each code and modifier in library.md.
2. Combine them, in order, into one full prompt. Fill [bracketed] slots from the message or uploads.
Ask one short question if something required is missing.
3. Image and video codes run through the Higgsfield connector. State the model and the credit cost
   first, and wait for approval.
4. If a code is not in library.md, say so and suggest the closest match.

For image and video codes, add the Higgsfield connector. Open the connectors page in your Claude settings, add a custom connector with the address https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp as listed on Higgsfield’s page, and sign in to your Higgsfield account. Generations spend Higgsfield credits, which is why the router tells Claude to state the cost and wait for your OK.

Words in [brackets] are slots you fill in. Prompts marked (upload) need a photo attached.

Higgsfield skills you can run inside Claude

These are Higgsfield’s own multi-step workflows (concept, script, generation, final render). Ask for one by name, for example: “Run the Higgsfield ugc-flow skill for this product photo, 9:16, 15 seconds.” Higgsfield also has motion design and production skills that need desktop software such as After Effects or Blender, so they suit a desktop agent more than regular chat. Questions

Are these official Claude commands?

No. As far as I can tell, Claude has no hidden list of slash codes. These are saved prompts with short nicknames. What Claude does have are real features that make nicknames work: Projects, Skills and connectors.

Do I need a paid plan?

Pasting a prompt works on any plan. Anthropic’s help center lists custom Skills as available on the Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, and they also need code execution and file creation to be turned on.

Can Claude generate the images and videos itself?

Claude does not generate photo-style images on its own. The image and video codes run through a connector such as Higgsfield, which uses Higgsfield credits and is a separate service.

Is it safe to use the Sales ops codes with real deals?

Check your company policy first. Use placeholders for customer names, pricing and contract terms, or work from anonymized examples, unless your employer has approved the tool for that data.

Is there a ChatGPT version?

Yes. The same library, set up for Custom GPTs and the Higgsfield plugin, is here: ChatGPT shortcut codes.
